Job Overview

Associated Engineering Trading & Contracting W.L.L is seeking a qualified Close Out Engineer – Switchgear in Doha, Qatar. The role is responsible for overseeing and managing technical closeout activities for Siemens low-voltage and medium-voltage switchgear projects within the Kahramaa (KM) Distribution Power Network, ensuring timely resolution of punch points, technical defects, and comprehensive documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate project closeout activities for Siemens low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) switchgear systems.
• Review, track, and close technical defects, non-conformance reports (NCRs), punch lists, and client comments.
• Provide technical support for switchgear installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting operations.
• Liaise with clients, Siemens manufacturing facilities, and internal teams regarding defective switchgear and protection system components.
• Prepare technical reports, project closeout documentation, test records, and regular status updates.
• Represent project technical matters professionally in technical meetings and reviews.
• Ensure full adherence to Siemens quality standards, safety procedures, and client technical specifications.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Siemens LV/MV switchgear equipment and related protection systems.
• Prior experience with Kahramaa (KM) Distribution Power Network projects is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in reading switchgear schematics, single-line drawings, and testing procedures for protection relays.
• Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot and resolve technical switchgear issues on-site.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, consultants, and manufacturers.
• Proficiency in standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office and technical documentation software.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Telecommunication Engineering.
• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in switchgear installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project closeout.
